Why should you travel to Ecuador? Let me tell you, here are my top reasons why you should travel to Ecuador!
Ecuador is Easy to Travel Around
Ecuador is quite small country, so it’s easy to travel around by bus or by plane Buses leave often and most places can be reached by bus day or night. Ecuador also has domestic flights all around the country. Within one day you can totally change the climate, for example from the Andean mountains to a small fisher village by the Pacific Ocean.
Ecuador is inexpensive
Ecuador is inexpensive (of course depending on your style, it can be expensive too), so it’s a great destination if you are on a tight travel budget. For example travelling by bus cost about $1/hour, private room in a hostel at Quito starting from $8,50 at Hostelworld.com, lunch in a local restaurant $3 and a large beer in a bar $1, 50. Also Ecuador is the cheapest country if you want to visit the Amazon rainforest. Starting price for a trip for four days to the Amazon is from $240, including transportation during the tour, accommodation in a jungle lodge, food and guided trips with a bilingual naturalist guide.
The Galapagos Islands
The Galapagos Islands are a totally unique place nowhere else in the world. The wildlife and the nature there is almost unreal. You can get many unforgettable memories like snorkeling with the sea lions, seeing the Blue Footed Booby perform their mating dance and trying to avoid stepping on an Iguanas tail while walking on a trail full of them. Trip to the Galapagos Islands is expensive, but in my opinion totally worth the cost. You can see my previous post about the Galapagos Islands from here.
So many amazing places in one country
Would you like to visit the jungle and search for an Anaconda, see lava coming out of an active volcano Tungurahua in Baños, how about climbing the volcano Cotopaxi or leaning to surf at the Pacific Ocean while studying Spanish? Ecuador has it all, the Galapagos Islands, the Andean mountains, the Pacific coast, The Amazon rainforest, adventure tours, volcanos, waterfalls, Colonial Cities, you name it! I would recommend to spend at least one month in Ecuador, so you have a chance to visit the most interesting places. Ecuador definitely has many great experiences to offer!
Not convinced yet? Let´s add friendly people, fresh food and delicious fruits, great weather, beautiful country with some spectacular landscapes and the UNESCO World Heritage places.
P.S. I always check the TripAdvisor to find reviews about the places and hotels, before booking!
