The Paílón Del Diablo, or in English “Cauldron of the Devil” is a magnificent waterfall in the Rio Verde area, about half an hour from Baños. The Pailon Del Diablo is about 80 meters high and it’s one of the most spectacular waterfalls to visit in Banos and in Ecuador.
You can visit the The Paílón del Diablo Waterfall on a special Chivas tour called Ruta de Las Cascadas, by bicycle or motorbike or by car. From Baños you can find many travel agencies offering the Chivas tours and vehicle renting. Going there is about half a day trip in total. If you take a Chivas tour, the Chivas will make a few stops on the way, so you can take pictures as the way there is beautiful. Also when we went there, there was a chance to do Canopy and Bungee jumping on the way.
There are two entrances to the waterfall, and they will take you to different places. I like both of the entrances and they offer really different kind of views. The entrance fee to the The Paílón del Diablo waterfall is $1, 50. From the entrance you need to do a small hike to the waterfall. Both paths to the The Paílón del Diablo go through a semi-jungle, so the area is lush and green, you can see different types of birds and maybe some orchids and other flowers.

Upean näköistä!
Tama on mielestani yksi kauneimpia paikkoja Ecuadorissa, ehdottomasti kaymisen arvoinen
I loved this tour. We made sure to book with a place that had a double decker bus with an open top level. Here are my photos of our tour- some similar to yours 🙂 https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.888539637827479.1073741830.807492255932218&type=3
You have nice pictures April Layne. I loved the tour too. First time we went there by a motorbike and the second we booked a tour, both good options to go there.
